|Who am I & why photography?|
Ron Quick has lived in Lincoln, Nebraska for over 25 years. He enjoys being a husband to Melissa and a father to his daughter Finnley. In addition they have two rescued Greyhounds Fancy & Jersey. Ron is currently pursuing his masters degree and works full time for a local hospital.
During his undergraduate degree he enrolled in a 9 week digital photography class. This course ignited his passion for capturing images that have an abstract look. Using a Canon EOS 50 & 60D's coupled with 18-200 & 10-24mm lenses Ron shoots in the manual setting in and around the Lincoln area focusing on man-made objects. Post editing usually consists of trimming, sharpening, and adjusting of saturation levels using just iPhoto software.
A few of Ron's images have been used for a community playhouse production, a background image for a company website, and featured in "Focus On Nebraska" book currently for sale at Barnes and Noble. However, photography for Ron is just a hobby and a outlet for self expression that alleviates some of life's pressures. And in doing so hopefully gives viewers a smile of wonderment.
